// How It Plays

Your models. Our rules.

Rift Gate Convergence is a tabletop character skirmish game set in a science-fiction universe with gateways to every reality imaginable. Though the setting is sci-fi, expect combatants of every kind — elves, dinosaurs, and everything in between. Players take on the roles of gladiators in the titular contest, where there can be only one victor. Each player controls a character whose abilities are defined by their info card. Victory is achieved by completing set objectives or by surviving a fixed number of rounds. Characters begin with starting weapons and can acquire more powerful gear through the Equipment deck as the game unfolds. Enemies are drawn from a shuffled NPC deck — or, for a more narrative experience, a Games Master can curate exactly what appears and when. Once the final boss falls, players must decide whose ending prevails... or fight for it. A separate PvP mode forms the competitive side of the game. Narrative elements are set aside: matches can be played one-on-one, in teams of two, or as a free-for-all. Each player fields three characters and selects their weapons before the match begins. Weapon drops remain in play, with optional NPC involvement currently in development..

Bring anything

Sci-fi Soldiers, fantasy knights, that one weird kaiju. If it's a model, it can fight. we have proprietary miniatures if you'd like to support us, but the most important aspect is that there is no faction buy-in.

Build its card

The trading card layer turns your model into a playable unit — stats, abilities, points. Choose your character cards around your collection; your shelf becomes your roster.

Fight the rift

Play solo against the system or head-to-head across the table. The launch lore is sci-fi — rifts tearing between worlds — but the rules don't care what universe your models came from.
